Conestoga Vizsla Club

CVC New Beginnings

1. save (someone) from a dangerous or distressing situation.

2. an act of saving or being saved from danger or distress.

In the case of our beloved Vizslas, we believe we are more than a rescue organization. While most of the dogs and people we assist with rehoming are certainly in stressful situations, rarely are they considered dangerous for the dog. At Conestoga Vizsla Club, we are expanding our definition of the services we provide not only to our club members, but also non-member Vizsla owners. We believe what we provide are the elements you associate with a new beginning!

A new beginning for a family that has experienced a biting situation. A new beginning for someone who needs and wants a new life companion and has chosen our wonderful breed. A new beginning for the dogs! Because at the end of the day, our primary consideration is the dog. We counsel people, provide references to training resources, connect people with experienced mentors, obtain veterinary consultations for dogs surrendered to us, physically take in dogs for fostering, transport dogs from a surrendering family to an adoptive family, evaluate dogs from both a health and behavior standpoint and provide a wide network of connections for our Vizslas and their people. That’s a little more than simply rescue!
